Why Belvoir High School chose us as their partner
Belvoir High School’s relationship with PC World Education started several years ago when we needed to kit out an ICT suite in a hurry after being let down by a previous supplier, Kevin Bennett from Belvoir explains.
We knew we needed a fair amount of equipment, but in a very short space of time, therefore one of the big suppliers was an obvious avenue. We also knew that budget was tight and getting the price right was crucial. After placing the order at 3pm with PC World Education, the delivery arrived at school at 7.30am the next morning, and well within the budget allocation.
From that point we used PC World Education as a way to get the branded products we required at a good price, and used them to deliver new equipment on a regular basis. We saw them as a ‘box shifter’ low prices high quantity and fast delivery. The service we received was always of a high standard, and we were very happy with the pricing and way we were dealt with. In July of 2007 we were successful in gaining a Capital Grant from the DCSF to work on a joint ICT project with our feeder primary schools. This project was to connect all 9 schools using a joint Managed Learning Environment, whilst increasing the access and provision of ICT in all schools, and implementing a Video Conferencing Solution at each site.
It was at this point we started to enquire about what else PC World Education were able to offer us, and it soon became apparent that our previous perceptions were wrong. There was more to them than we had originally imagined. We have now been working on the project with them for the past 18 months and the relationship has developed well. We now see them as a value added service provider as well as providing very competitively priced products. They have used their expertise to help us project manage the work being carried out. They introduced us to some of their sub-contractors who are able to help in areas where PC World Education does not have their own specialists, they have overseen installations and liaised with providers on our behalf to ensure work is carried out to our required standards. When issues arise they are quick to deal with them and keep us informed of developments as they occur.
We no longer see PC World Education as a ''box shifter'' but as a partner, there to help us out with technical issues, to help provide solutions and, if one is not readily available, to find one for us. We now see them as a partner and the relationship we have developed has grown on simple foundations of good value and quality of service.
